Ringing In The New Year

Hello again! I hope you haven't forgotten about me. I surely have not forgotten about my blog. I apologize for the absences that I have taken from this blog. I definitely want to dedicate a lot more focus to my blog in 2015.
2014 held many, many ups and downs in my life. If you would like me to post a "2014 events" post where I share a bunch of pictures with you, then I will but 1. I don't have the pictures prepared to share with you at this moment in time and 2. I'm getting tired. So, if you would like to see pictures/videos from my year then you can click here to watch a wrap up of my year.
I'm not going to go into huge details of the 2014 contents because although I share a lot of my life on the Internet, there are some things that need to remain personal. But I will tell you this: believe it or not, after 4 long years, I saw 5 of my favorite people. In concert. With one of my best friends. And 5 Seconds Of Summer. Yes, I finally finally finally saw One Direction. Definitely one of the highlights of my life, let alone year.
For some reason, the universe has given me 3 lovely (I use that word loosely) ladies who I am far too blessed to be able to call my best friends.
I'm so excited for 2015. It's only 10 days in as I am writing this but I have already fallen in love with this year. I have 5 months left of my senior year of high school; 6 months until I am legally an adult (terrifying!) In October I shall be finally seeing my one true love, Taylor Swift, live. And in July...drum roll please....I'M GOING TO NEW YORK CITY! Yesyesyesyes, I'm not kidding. Very exciting things to come.

Stay tuned xx

  1. I mostly agree with your post, however I sincerely do believe that teenage years are the time to make mistakes and mess up a little. Some of the best lessons I learned were from the mistakes I made. Some teachers are nice, but others I cannot even fathom how they still retain jobs. And as a teenager who struggles to pay attention in class, it's very to hard to pay attention when the teacher makes little/no effort to try and teach. I can speak for a lot of kids, it's time we stopped with the lectures and the impersonal lessons. Again I think this blog was incredibly brave of you to post and there were some very good and true points made. However, I feel like some points are more personal opinion rather than helpful advice. Have a good day!

    1. I do agree in the sense that it's better to make mistakes now than when we're older, but when people use that as an excuse for everything rather than taking responsibility for their actions, that's when I get mad. There's a difference between making mistakes and being an idiot (see: every illegal activity that teens seem to regularly take part in.) I'm so happy that you've learned from your mistakes. But many people don't, unfortunately. I won't go in to detail for obvious reasons but 2 kids in my choir class this year got arrested within a span of 2 weeks of each other. And I understand not all teachers do things the way they should, but luckily I have never had that problem. I have had wonderful teachers for most of my time in school, and I'm now a senior. However, kids still try to take advantage and be totally disrespectful with no valid reason. While I do try to incorporate advice into my posts, I created a blog to voice my personal opinion. I hope you haven't taken any of my comments the wrong way, and thank you for respectfully disagreeing rather than using endless profanities haha.
